Parksville Probus

I assumed the position of social coordinator in April 05. Since that time, my committee and I have planned an activity each month except July (our barbecue) August (our golf tournament & dinner) and December (our Christmas lunch). I decided I would only do car pool outings 98% of the time since you are not obligated to get a certain number. (the exception being the ETA bus tour for Ladysmith Lights).

Theatre outings include:

• Echo theatre - once or twice a year, preceded by dinner in QB


• Chemainus theatre matinee - once or twice annually, preceded by a pub lunch


• Baileys studio Nanaimo matinee, lunch


• Sid Williams Theatre Courtenay, dinner prior


• Port theatre - dinner prior

Upon a few occasions the outing has just been a pub lunch

Boat Cruises - sometimes overnight

• Lund Hotel & Desolation sound


• Thetis Island - from Ladysmith


• San Juan Islands- to Bellingham


• coastal repositioning- LA to Vancouver


• Uchuck from Gold River to Zebellos

Hotel, Lodge Overnights

• Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge, Quadra Isl


• Painters Lodge, Campbell river


• Victoria,” Be a Tourist”

Other trips to various Vancouver island attractions.

A major trip was taken to Mexico- an archeology, colonial tour from Mexico city to Cancun, followed by a Copper canyon bus-train trip.

Hopefully one more in the spring.
